Title: MY DADDY
Post Text Today would be his Birthday Eighty-six he would have been today, If that cancer had not got him, and took his life away. Such a strong, kind, loving And gentle man was he. He had much love for his family, and I know that he Loved me. He had no education, He could neither read nor write. But he was so smart and, In other ways he was really bright. His hands were so strong, but he had such a gentle touch. He called me his Baby, And I LOVED him so much. Daddy was a hard worker, But there were times he loved to play. We would get together with family or friends And play 42 sometimes all day. Mother is now with him, They are now side by side. I know they truly Loved each other, As their Love, they never tried to hide. By Louise Alley August 6, 2000
When our daughter was killed in a car wreck in 1996, I started writing poems, a type of therapy I suppose. Well actually I had written a few before then, but many I didn't think to keep and boy am I sorry about that now. Any way I decided to post them here to share.
