I was trying to make a layout in GIMP and when I try to make embellishments or pictures larger it cuts off parts of the picture. Like however big it was originally when I opened it that's all that I can see. I hope I make sense. I'm still new to using GIMP.

Hmm....if the things you are trying to resize are on layers, go into the layers menu and click on scale layer. If the picture is all one layer, you can go into the image menu and click on scale image.
