Well hi everybody, my name is Lisa - I am married with 2 fur kids and I live at Baffle Creek Queensland. Sorry it took so long but I finally got around to doing this at last - LOL. Mind you misslilly is very good at dropping me the occasional reminder (and believe me I needed it). Sorry ... I forgot to check back here until now, thanks for the welcome. Baffle Creek is between Bundaberg and Agnes Waters. (it is only 65kms out of Bundaberg) It is a pretty place - most of my favourite photos come from here or around this area. Now Jeepie ... about that Jeep, have you got it yet (is it a Renegade - I LOVE them), there is a red one in the car yard next door to where I work and I keep looking and drooling at it - we'll see .... maybe one day. well lisa technically you ahve to be born in aus but im not going to kick you out I couldnt do it i love having you here and I would imaginine the others would too so we will wait for feedback on their opinion cause that also matters to me but i think you will be ok my friend and i still refer to myself as a queenslander although i have lived in vic fro 10 years i call this my home but qld is my heart wher my family & nephew are my heart wil always be my mum & dad were born in brisbane so was i at the royal womans my mum worked there as a midwife until she had us & could no longer do shift work I still havent climatised to the freezing crap whether in vic qld makes me happier but my man is here so this is where i wil stay so i cant have my cake & eat it too which is a shame cause i do like cake lol & jeepie i will look out 4 your jeep page i want to see this so highly praised renegade of yours its got me intrigued love yas talk soon take care xoxox

Hi everyone! I got the permit from misslilly to join the group and that made me very happy indeed. I came to Oz in 1989 (I was 48 then) and that was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. You Aussies take it for granted, but I can tell you from my own experience: Australia is the best country on this planet, and Aussies are (blokes included) the most gentle, generous and lovely people on Earth. I know. I have been places. A lot. Today, I am just a pensioner trying to reconstruct the history of my family in eastern Serbia from the dark ages of Turkish occupation (16-19th century). Hard stuff from here, but there is always Internet. I would like to publish it as a scrapbook on the Net. Although with some experience in DTP (from a while ago), I am a total ignoramus in scrapbooking. I am here to learn, learn, learn...

Hi ...me again, I actually withdrew from the Aussie group for a while - as my husband says, rules are rules and technically I wasn't born here. It was such a sad thing to have to do but then I saw that it is OK if you have lived here more than 15 years (I noticed this when I kept on coming back to see what my Aussie mates were up to) - I was just under 2 when mum and dad came back to Melbourne and I can sure promise you that it is double the 15 year mark for me ... so I guess it is OK for me to be here... I mean, heck I belong here - thank you Lisa.

Hi everyone. My name is Laraine & I live in Brisbane- have done all my life. I have three grown children (2 boys, 1 girl) and the most adorable grandson who has just turned 2. I teach Year 2 and am looking forward to retirement at the end of next year so I can get stuck into my scrapbooking. I was a traditional scrapper for several years and then I discovered digital. I spend so much time on the computer now I'm sure it's bad for my health. My husband threatens to kick me off so he can get his work done!!! He is a teacher also. It is great to find a whole group of Aussies together as those on the other side of the world just don't understand "we who come from downunder". Thanks for the invite Lilly.

my name is melissa and i now live in adelaide after spending on year in werribee(melbourne). have lived all over this wonderful country but born in newcastle i sometimes still refer to it as home tho i havent lived there in 22 years. lived in brisbane, spent some time in slcks creek LOL, sydney twice, newcastle twice, townsville twice, kalgoorlie, perth, kambalda, melbourne and now adelaide.
i have 2 beautiful children who are my world and a husband who is in the army.
i love to scrap but with 2 kids paper scrapping seems to be few and far between, tho i still love doing off the page and hybrid stuff.
i am having trouble posting my pages on here but i love it as our family and friends can see my kids grow up.

already i can feel this is a great group

Started off with traditional scrapbooking - I have a massive pile of papers and embellishments that I still haven't used, 'cos I got hooked on digital, and rarely get around to the traditional, now. I went on a big holiday spree in 2004, travelled UK & Europe, then back to the US where I still am. I came to meet my "long distance" love that had been going for 4yrs. He was born and raised in Lake Tahoe CA. We lived in NV for a while then went on a big road trip and ended up in Sthn Illinois for now LOL.

Anyway thats about it, without writing an essay.

Hi everyone. I haven't been in to visit for a while but I am still around the ridges. Good to see so many in the group. I have been busy teaching Prep this year so that is a change for me. I had preschool about 12 years ago and then year 1 for 6 years, year 3 and year last year. It has been an exciting adventure but certainly a drain as the classes were overloaded with 28. We have jsut been split up now and are down to the legal number or just under on 23 ready to start the new semester. I ahve been doing a bit of digi scrappin and som traditional and some hybrid. Also have a new embroidery machine so that has been my new toy for a while. Don't think I have forgotten everyone - just been really busy. Catch you all later
