Not new to scrapbooking; but new to digital

I like my pages that are homemade.... bits of lace, a flattened bottle cap, cutting paper by hand, tearing scraps, etc.... I don't have anything against digital pages. They're beautiful. But it seems they take away from that "hands
on, 3-D" affect that I really love. I guess I'm just too new to this digital format. Any feedback?

I can't really relate because I have never done "hands on" scrapbooking. With a family of 6 and 1 income all the "frills" were just way too expensive for me to even try it. I have really enjoyed the digital scrapbooking though and love to print out my pages and share them with friends : )

I do love the look of homemade scrap pages, just don't think I'd ever have the patience, time, money etc... to try it : ) Digital is a perfect fit for me : )

Think I feel the same way Neighborgal does....as for the 3-D effect..think it's possible with didital scrapping too..maybe not as much though...
Digital is prefect for me too...
Easier to share with family..:-)

Brooklynn's Mama says:
I have never really done the traditional scrapbooking. My husband and I gathered a bunch of stuff to make one, but Brooklynn came along and I really don't have the time or space to make one. But when she gets bigger I will have her help me make some pages! So, for now, digital is perfect for me (like Neighborgal and Pelin). I also think that it brings back some of the hands-on type stuff when you create your own graphics, in a way, but I'm sure that it's not the same. :)

I still use what is in my home or wherever I can get a good photo. Lace, doilies, ribbons, jewelry, flowers and so on ...snap and then work with original materials and yes some of the 3D on this website are unique and FANTASTIC.

I used to love the hands on ..but oh I would hate it when I was in the middle of somthing & had to stop clean everything up...Digital is so much better and you can still get all the same effects..digital has come a long way since I stated doing it & when I need to stop its just one click of the button and it's saved till I get time agin. =)

I am very new to the digital world of Scrapbooking. I actually have my own business paper scrapping for those that don't have the time or desire to do their own. I mainly use digital for my In-laws and family. They live about 800 miles from us, so I can print the pages and have them sent directly to them. My dd is 15 months now, but as she gets older, she can help with them, and tell her stories to her grandparents via the web.
