You have to save them to a file on your desktop. When you downloaded the program, it should have placed a folder on your desktop called scrapbook flair. Inside that is your Backgrounds folder. Save all backgrounds to any of the folders named "common". Don't save them to the 12 x 12 files or you will only be able to use them for that sized page. I also just save backgrounds as regular images in a file on my desktop. Then I just add them as an image when I make a scrapbook page and stretch them to fit the entire canvas. Then you can also use them as borders placing your photo overtop of them. Let me know if I can help any further.
