Beginning in October, you can take a free online class for digital scrapbooking at www.hp.com under home classes. The instructor is great! She shows you step by step how to use PhotoShop Elements.

I use Microsoft Powerpoint to design my pages.... you do have to make some adjustments but its easy. You can also make animated presentations of your scrapbook pages and save to CD to share on other computers. You can also save individual slides as .JPG files and print if you like.. I love it

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0. They just came out with 5.0 but it isn't much different than 4.0 except cuz it's new, it's more expensive. You can go to www.adobe.com and download a FREE FULL VERSION one month trial of the Adobe products. They also have CS and CS2...there for "experts" I didn't like them at all. Try it! I know you'll love it!

I use and do like PhotoshopCS2 but you must read the tutorials and just play around with it. I have created some wonderful things with it by experimentation but then forget where I was in it and how I did it. Practise I think is the key.

I use scrapbook delux which is really simple to use and has so much stuff with it, I would be glad to share it with you.

i have been using scrapbook factory. it is sooooooooo simple. it has pages, embellishments, etc or you can add your own kits. it has been great to learn with (i;m fairly new to ds) i'm actually ready to move onto something a little more challenging, but it is for sure an easy way to start. i picked it up at staples for $40, with a $20 rebate. :) sorry about the sloppy typing, i have a baby in my arms. :)

I've been trying out the different scrap & photo apps & the one I've found easiest for me is ACDSee Photo Editor. It handles all the graphics file types including photoshop & paintshop files. It has a really nice image basket along the bottom of the workspace where you can put all the files you're working with at once for easy drag & drop placement. So far most of the photoshop elements tricks/tips I've come across have worked with ACDSee too, Plus if you use ACDSee Pro 2 it will burn your pages to cd/dvd slide shows. It's done everything I've needed & more with the advantage of being much easier to use.

I was looking for 1 too & I tried acouple Free Trials & I have to tellyou COREL PAINT PRO is AWESOMEI just found this one today, it has tutorials & it is Soooo easy I can not blv' it b/c I am have no clue about all those little tools & stuff ! This has 30 day Free Trial & I promice the 1st day you'll start to get it Its awesome & it seems to grow w/ you!! BTW I was looking for a group like this & couldn't quiet find one that had actual advise persya so I strated a group call digitalsrap4dummie lolol... b/c I feel like a dummy w/ this digital stuff SOOO if you have some info links etc PLEASE come join & share tytytytytyt Tammy

Jazzys Mom, Photoshop may be a bit difficult to begin with but don't give up! It's very rewarding! As for resizing your picture, go to Edit up in the left hand corner, find free transform and grab the corner of your pic and resize. Be sure to hold the Shift button down while you do or it will be deformed. another way is once you've clicked free transform or transform/scale up in the tool bar you will see boxes with numbers inside (whatever they're called) go to the ones with the W and H b4 them and reduce the percentage, but make the percentage both the same. There may be other ways but i haven't discovered them yet:) If you have any questions Jazzys Mom i may be able to help, I'm not expert but i have been messing around with Photoshop for around eight yrs, soooo....drop me a line! unless you have found a program better suited to you!

You'll find the Tutorials under the Help drop down thing:) if they're there at all. Some versions of Photoshop don't have them

Hi I too am looking for a good, easy, inexpensive program. I find Adobe Elements are expensive even if I use Amazon. I hear that ACDSee is good but where do I get it? and how much does it cost? I would like to hear more about it.
