You need to have a good software program like the one we have here at scrapbook flair or something like Adobe PhotoShops Elements. There are no right or wrong ways to get started, just a love for doing it.

Yes, you can use PSP to make background's and embellishments- that is what I do a lot. The backgrounds I do at 300 dpi and save as a jpg. The embellishments be sure not to save as too big a file and save them as a psd. Hope this helps!

i am getting psp photo 11 for christmas. Will this work just like psp does anyone know and if so im assuming its working for embellishments and backgrounds.

if you are new to digital scrapbooking, i suggest using the Scrapbook Flair program to start. Work your way up to Photoshop. You can find lots of freebies to make your pages, but if you are looking to buy a few kits, I really suggest a site called "atomic cupcake", you can download anything you want for 30days for only $12.95. Right now I think they have about 50 kits to download!
