thanks brenda and amy. I kind of just fell into this. I was not even registered with the agency to be a foster family. I have never done this before. sydney was deemed urgent as he was going to be put in a shelter in less than a week and a senior black lab mix with arthritis has essentially no chance . i was at a dog event and they told me about him. the next day he was home with us.

therapy dogs require a lot of training and time invested plus I am not sure how good he would be for that anyhow.
