Five year old "Foxer" (her on-line screen name) may be the youngest member of ScrapbookFlair, the new scrapbooking community web site, but she’s a typical scrapbooker in that she loves to preserve and share special occasions and memories. The number of scrapbooking enthusiasts in the U.S. has quadrupled in the past five years to more than 20 million, according to the Hobby Industry Association.
Using the free ScrapbookFlair software – which includes intuitive photo editing capabilities and hundreds of backgrounds, embellishments and design templates – Foxer has already created ten digital scrapbooks that showcase her friends, her love of doughnuts, and her new bicycle – among other topics important to a preschooler. Her mother, Barbara (screen name Mommiac), assists with the journaling elements, since Foxer is just beginning to read and write.
ScrapbookFlair (www.ScrapbookFlair.com), the internet’s most comprehensive and versatile scrapbooking community, features free, easy to use scrapbooking software and a social, community setting that scrapbookers love. Members can set up a home page, upload their scrapbooks – sharing them with as many or as few people as they like – peruse public galleries, keep a scrapbooking blog, attend scrapbooking forums, and send and receive messages from a private message center.
