About this scrapbook page: |
For the Moon Gods & Sun Goddess challenge. Amaterasu-omikami, in Japanese mythology, a sun goddess and perhaps the most important Shinto deity. Her name, Amaterasu, means literally "(that which) illuminates Heaven". It was said that she was a strong and beautiful deity and that she had a beautiful garden which was considered heaven.
